FRANKLIN TWP — The Butler County Kennel Club will have two American Kennel Club-sanctioned all-breed dog shows on Saturday and Sunday.

The Butler Autumn Classic will take place at the Big Butler Fairgrounds, Route 422 west of Butler.

BUTLER TWP — Butler County Parks and Recreation Department's annual Alameda Fall Fest will feature a youth fishing tournament and a car cruise from noon to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Alameda Park, off New Castle Road.There will be three age groups for the fishing contest as well as entertainment, door prizes, pony rides, inflatable jump toys, face painting, concession stands and music.Cost is $5 per angler; admission to the festival is free. EVANS CITY — The Evans City Oktoberfest is planned for September, namely Friday through Sunday, with festivities mainly on Wahl Avenue and North Jackson Street.Entertainment will include a musical performance by one-man-band Waldo Young from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, an 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. parade Saturday, and a car cruise accompanied by music from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.For more information, call 724-538-8320 or visit the Web site, www.evans-city.com.

LIGONIER — Fort Ligonier Days will be held Oct. 9, 10 and 11 at the fort and around the town.This year's festivities commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Oct. 12, 1758, battle between British and French forces during the French and Indian War.Battle demonstrations will begin at 2 and 4 p.m. Oct. 10 and 11 at the fort. Guests can visit British and French military encampments, and journey back in time to an 18th century fort community. Scottish Highlanders, American Provincial Troops and French Marine re-enactors will be on hand.The fort is at the intersection of Routes 30 and 711. FRANKLIN — Davy Jones Live in Concert will take place at 8 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Barrow-Civic Theatre, 1223 Liberty St.The former teen idol from the 1960s television show and musical group The Monkees has had a career as an actor, comedian, composer, artist and storyteller.Tickets range from $65 to $100 and are available by calling 800-537-7769.
