Pitt's Taglianetti out for season
PITTSBURGH — Pitt sophomore safety Andrew Taglianetti won't play again this season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee against Buffalo.
Because he played in only two games, Taglianetti could receive a medical redshirt to preserve a season of eligibility.
Taglianetti, a former all-state player at Central Catholic, started at free safety and on special teams. He had four tackles and a fumble recovery.
