I agree that perhaps that the game with a score of 50 to 0 could have been avoided a little better. However, last year when those two teams came together, the Penn Street Cardinals beat the Eastside Mustangs 48 to 0. It was 20 to 0 at halftime and in the opening kick the Cardinals did an onside kick and recovered it to score another touchdown.

There is no mistake that there is a big rivalry with the two teams. The coaches took the two teams to the middle of the field Saturday night following the game and the issue was discussed with the coaches, one being the league president and the boys. I do think that after Saturday's game the coaches of Eastside did think perhaps they were out of hand. A resolution was made to end the problem at hand. Hopefully the boys will continue their season and learn good sportsmanship. It is unfortunate that, as a mother of two boys, I see so much of the poor sportsmanship in the adults.
