PITTSBURGH — A 17-year-old boy could remain at a juvenile treatment center until he is 21 after a judge sentenced him for a plot to kill four family members and a 10-year-old girl on her first sleepover by putting homemade bombs in their beds.

The bombs made by Christopher Janney, of South Fayette Township, did not go off and no one was hurt in the incident Oct. 4. Allegheny County Judge Kim Clark will review Janney's case every three months and could release him earlier if she's satisfied with his progress at the Cresson Secure Treatment center in Cambria County.

Authorities say Janney made the bombs by mixing household chemicals. Janney has been held mostly at a psychiatric hospital in Pittsburgh since his arrest last year.

SEWICKLEY — An 18-year-old Pittsburgh-area man has been jailed on indecent assault charges for allegedly letting two girls, 11 and 14, lick chocolate off his chest during a game of "truth or dare."Online court records don't list an attorney for Justin Sayre, of McKees Rocks, who remained in the Allegheny County Jail Thursday, a day after his arrest.Ohio Township police say the incident happened when Sayre was at a friend's house with a group of young people, some older and some younger than him.Police also charged Sayre with corruption of minors. They contend he also kissed the girls and lay on top of them while they were sleeping.He faces a preliminary hearing on Thursday and, so far, had been unable to post $10,000 bond.
