Jake, it is pretty obvious that you have no idea what socialism is, what a socialistic program is, or the political history of Social Security and Medicare. When Social Security was being passed by the Democrats during the 1930s, Republicans derided it as Socialism. When Medicare was being passed during the 1960s, Republicans derided it as Socialism. So, Social Security and Medicare are suddenly not socialistic according to you when they were derided as being socialism at the time they were passed into law? History does repeat itself, because Republicans are derided the current health reform as Socialistic. Not only do you lack a clear understanding of Socialism, you lack a clear understanding of American political history.
