Francis Griffin of Prospect was bitten by the travel bug during a 1938 class trip to Washington, D.C., and has held a passport since 1973.

His adventures have taken him to several countries including India, Israel, Jordan, Egypt and Peru.

Marjorie Griffin shares her husband's love of international travel, and her trips include Spain, France and now, Italy.

The Griffins stood before priceless artwork and visited stunning landmarks while touring Italy, but Marjorie said the best part was spending time with great-granddaughters Svetlana, 5, and Sophia, 1.

"I was the most excited to see them," Marjorie said.
