Will the Butler Eagle please stop printing letters to the editor making untrue claims or outright lies about proposed health care reforms? On example is the claim that somehow a new health care reform bill would kill the elderly are simply outrageous. It is one thing to have an opinion, it is another thing to bear false witness. The Butler Eagle needs to have some journalistic integrity, which it has little of at times based on some letters published in the paper, and either not print certain letters or have its own rebuttal under the letters stating the facts. Also, any senior citizen on Medicare is part of a socialized medical health insurance plan. If you do not like socialism, cancel your Medicare plan right away and get your own private health insurance and try to find one you can afford. Again, Medicare is socialism. So is Social Security. Any senior citizen reaping the benefits of those two programs are reaping the benefits of socialism. I am sick and tired of ignorant, as in lacking knowledge, senior citizens protesting "socialism" when they are the very beneficiaries of socialist-type programs. If you do not like socialism, fight to get Medicare and Social Security repealed.
