Many of you have urged the teachers from Knoch to find another job. You said you wanted it to happen and now it has. I hope you don't regret it. Knoch is beginning it's mass exodus of experienced, highly qualified teachers. One only has to look at the employment link on the school's web page to see that they have lost in the last month or so 2 chemistry teachers, one holding a doctorate and the other a master's, one caring and compassionate school nurse, and one tech-ed teacher who did much more for the school than his job required to the likes of NA and Hampton, and this is from the high school alone. We will all be sorry when test scores drop because of the constant influx of new teachers and the exodus of those who get a few years experience and then move on to higher paying, adjacent districts. Of course, then you all will say not to pay the teachers because they are not doing their jobs. I urge all of you who would like to avoid more of this from happening to contact your school board members and urge them to revisit the arbitrator's report and perhaps try to make a new agreement using those guidelines. If you really look at it, it is a fair split down the middle from both the teacher's initial offer and the board's initial offer. Neither side would be completely happy, but doesn't that mean negotiations are fair and successful?
