Harmony Museum plans music on select Thursdays in the diamond at the center of Harmony's National Historic Landmark District and three Saturday acoustic performances to accompany pizza parties in the Harmony Museum garden on Mercer Street. The diamond will be closed to vehicle traffic for free concerts by Zelienople-Harmony Community Jazz Band on Aug. 6 and The Right Rhythm Band on Sept. 3, both at 7:30 p.m. Those attending are to take lawn chairs; refreshments will be available. The Musicians' Concert Band, a community group that performs at Slippery Rock University, will play in concert at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 6 in Miller Auditorium on campus. The MCB Swing Band will join in tonight's show. Admission to each concert is $3. Jeff Kroner is the music director.

The Thursdays in the Park Concert Series at Cranberry Rotary Amphitheater in Community Park, Cranberry Township begins at 7 p.m. Playing tonight will be the East Winds Symphonic Band. On Aug. 13 the performer will be Sarah Marince playing country music. Admission is free. Call 724-776-4806.

A free Family Summer Concert Series, sponsored by Butler County Parks and Recreation Department, is taking place at Alameda Park. The shows begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Carousel Shelter. Performing this coming Tuesday will be the World of Children, children dressed in international costumes who perform sign language to music promoting the message of peace, unity, and hope.
