ADAMS TWP — The Mars Library will hold two bead and jewelry workshops Wednesday. Sessions will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. for ages 8 and up and 2 to 3 p.m. for ages 10 and up, including adults. There is a fee.

There will be a tae kwon do workshop Aug. 4. Classes will be from 10 to 11 a.m. for 4 to 6 year olds and 11 a.m. to noon for 7 to 12 year olds. Children should wear comfortable clothes and participate in socks or bare feet. There is no fee.

ADAMS TWP — Fosnight of Valencia Personal Care Home will sponsor a car cruise beginning at 1 p.m. Aug. 2.The event will feature about 75 classic, custom, hot rod and show cars on display, food and beverages. The Passavant Retirement Community is seeking volunteers to help with fall and winter programs for assisted living residents.Volunteers must be available for at least three hours, preferably once a week between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.Those interested in a volunteer position need to have patience and good interaction skills with the elderly.
