CONNOQUENESSING TWP — The 61st annual Butler Farm Show will take place Aug. 10 to 15 at the Farm Show Grounds, Route 68.

In addition to the animal and agricultural exhibits, there will be a magic show, concerts and carnival rides, among other activities. Garden tractor races are new this year and will start at 8 p.m. Aug. 10.

Events begin at 9 a.m. most days except Aug. 13 and 15 when they start at 10 a.m. Rides open at 4 p.m. Aug. 10 and at 1 p.m. Aug. 11 to 15.

PITTSBURGH — The Carnegie Museum of Art will exhibit "Palm Springs Modern: Photographs by Julius Shulman" from Sept. 19 through Jan. 31, in the Heinz Architectural Center of the museum.The exhibition offers a tour of the mid-century architecture and elegant lifestyles of Palm Springs, Calif.
