ZELIENOPLE — The 46th annual Horse Trading Days summer festival runs today through Saturday along Main Street. The Strand Theater will host events for the first time in 25 years.

Festival activities include a children's interactive play, performances by the Joe Negri Quartet and the band Pop Rocks, a parade, crafts, food, a classic car cruise, a Paws in the Park dog walk, a beard and mustache contest and a used book sale at the Zelienople Public Library.

CABOT — Concordia Lutheran Ministries will host its 128th annual Summer Festival from noon to 6 p.m. July 26 under the tents behind the Lund Care Center.The festival will feature a traditional picnic menu around the "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" theme. All children 12 and younger will receive three free tickets redeemable for food items.Entertainment will include the Johnny Appleseed District Barbershop Group, Dixiecupps Trio, Campraise Singers and a glass blower.There will also be a number of activities for children, including an inflatable castle, clown, caricature artists, crafts and games.A 3 p.m. worship service will be led by the Rev. PENN TWP — The Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department Mega Cruise will take place from 2 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Butler County Airport on Airport Road.This annual fundraiser for the Penn Township VFD attracted about 700 vehicles last year.Cruise vehicles are admitted free; otherwise, admission is $2.Food and music are planned.
