If the SBCEA would make negotiations public, certain falsehoods would not surface. Why is it that only the school's solicitor communicates with the Butler Eagle? Where is the SBCEA when articles are being drafted? Take that back to the SBCEA!

And attending the school board meetings does not necessarily induce the facts. The meetings aren't designed to provide the public with every little word and number that occur at the negotiation sessions. To prevent false rumors and the like, the negotiation sessions should be made public (or with select members of the public in attendance). And if you were at the school board meeting during the strike, you would have heard the crude response to that proposal by Christine Cortazzo, SBCEA's PSEA rep. The Board had no problem with that, but all Cortazzo could offer is one, loud word: NO! So clearly the SBCEA has either something to hide, or they are afraid to have the public be involved. So, if the Union is going to keep information from the public, it is the school's responsibility to inform the public and they do just that. If the SBCEA is sick and tired of half-sided facts, they need to communicate their side with the public, just as the Board does.
