I'm sure in all of your research, you must have come across the fact that the school board initially agreed to a 4.3% raise, and the lowered, LOWERED their offer to 3.25%. Stop accusing the teachers of backsliding. They are only taking a page out of the school districts playbook. Also, you don't have all of your facts straight as the board only published bits and pieces of their current offer. It doesn't really show you the whole picture so I wouldn't expect you to understand. The board is making the SAME EXACT offer as they did a year ago. They haven't changed it one bit. That is not negotiating. Until they are willing to move, nothing will be accomplished. Tom King only made this press release to stir up the public yet again, and you are playing directly into his hands. I don't want to know how much you make, or what kind of benefits you have. I only wish that you would try to see another side of the story before you issue your condemnations.
