Mars scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, including a game-winning single by winning pitcher Kevin Shebek, in a 7-6 triumph over Prospect in Butler County American Legion baseball Tuesday.

Luke Gruber and Lee Lawver each drove in two runs for Mars (12-3-1), while Neely and Weitzel had two RBI each for Prospect.

In other games:

• Karns City picked up its first win of the season in grand fashion, belting out 25 hits in a 20-7 victory over West Sunbury.

Josh Stimac homered, Brad Francis had a double and three singles, Jarrett LaVan added three singles and Brad Fuhrer and Cody Williams each had a double.

Heath Lominski and Brandon Bonzo had three hits apiece for West Sunbury.
