INDSPEC Chemical Corporation and its employees have a long record of support for the community, schools and United Way. INDSPEC annually raises over $26,000 for the United Way under the dedicated and enthusiastic leadership of Diane Rudolph. Diane conducts campaign meetings, and hosts agency presentations and tours in order to highlight the community programs that donor funds support.

INDSPEC exemplifies good labor management cooperation with USW Local Union 6346-25, supporting United Way efforts through contributions and volunteerism. INDSPEC employees serve on the United Way Board of Directors and committees, and are active in the Chamber of Commerce, Community Development Corporation and Leadership Butler County, where they supported this year's class project with donations of items for Disaster Kits for senior citizens.

INDSPEC employees support the Mental Health Association's Compeer Program; participate in Race for the Cure and the March of Dimes Daffodil Days; and have hosted fundraisers for Muscular Dystrophy. Each Christmas employees provide gifts for families through Catholic Charities and Karns City School District.

Annually, groups of employees turn out for Day of Caring, and this year, they helped coordinate and manage the renovations at the church in Chicora that houses Butler County Head Start. We are grateful for the leadership role they play in the community and are pleased to salute INDSPEC as the Spirit of Butler County award winner.
