MARS — The Mars Public Library will host the music program Drum Trail at 7 p.m. Monday.

Explore rhythm, pitch and percussion through Bill Pate's drums, keyboards and percussion instruments.

All are welcome, including children.

GIBSONIA — Children and teenagers ages 3 to 16 are sought to participate for six different Butler County Kids Pageant titles July 12 at the Kean Theatre.The titles are Little Miss, Little Mister, Young Miss, Young Mister, Teen Miss and Teen Mister Butler County.All participants will be judged on personality, appearance and stage presence in the categories of sportswear, dress attire, and a self-introduction or interview.For the first time, there will be an optional talent category, although no performing talent is required.Applications are due immediately.For information or application call 724-287-0576 or 724-287-3576.

BUTLER TWP — Divine Ridge, a contemporary Christian band, will hold a concert at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Carousel Shelter in Alameda Park.The concert is free and open to the public.

MARS — The Mars Public Library's summer used book sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 27.Call 724-625-9048 for information.

SAXONBURG — The first Historic Saxonburg car cruise and collectible market will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday on Main Street.The event combines a car cruise with a craft and antique market along with a children's activity.The events will continue on Tuesday evenings from 5 to 9 p.m. July 28, Aug. 25 and Sept. 22, with the final cruise market of the year from 3 to 8 p.m. Oct. 10.The collectible market will feature juried craft and antique vendors.Vendors are welcome to register by calling Paula Navilliat at 724-352-6225.For information, call the Main Street Program Office of the John Roebling's Historic Saxonburg Society at 724-352-1400, Ext. 232.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock Sliders will host Hittin' with the Hounds at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday.The public is welcome to take dogs to the ballgame.A portion of each ticket price will benefit the Lyons Den Rescue, an all-breed dog rescue in the Grove City and Slippery Rock area.Guests with dogs will be seated in the lawn section.For information and tickets, contact Amy at 724-458-0752 or southpawx3@verizon.net.
