Mercer Road in Butler Township has reopened with a new bridge over Route 422.

The road had been closed since April 1 and wasn't due to be reopened until July 1, according to the state Department of Transportation this morning.

However, the lane restrictions on Route 422 at the bridge will continue with one lane open in each direction until Aug. 21.
