Carl J. Morgain
In loving memory of our beloved son, brother and uncle, Sgt. Carl J. Morgain
May 22, 2005
KIA — Tikrit, Iraq
This warrior fought for the land of the free,
Brave is all he knew how to be.
He fought till his last breath,
Fearless of meeting his death.
It was a struggle to make it through,
He courageously did what he had to do.
Determined to give his all
Even if it meant taking the fall.
There were days when he felt he had enough,
But he remained a warrior and he was tough.
He became numb to all the sorrow,
Holding on for one more day,
Hoping for another tomorrow.
He sacrificed his life for others,
He suffered the brunt of war,
The souls of the fallen will forever soar.
He answered his country's call,
Now he's a hero listed on a wall.
He was sadly laid to rest
And will be remembered as American's best.
