Thomas C. Mack Sr.
Thomas C. Mack Sr., 86, of Butler died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 21, 1923, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of Fred and Catherine Callaghan Mack.
He had worked as a steelworker for the US Steel Sintering Plant, and he also worked at Grinnell Fire Protection.
He attended the Fellowship Baptist Church of Baden.
Mr. Mack was a World War II veteran and a member of the 204th Anti-Aircraft Battalion Group.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening and baseball.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas (Sherri) Mack Jr. of Butler and Guy K. Mack of Slippery Rock; his daughter, Catherine "Kitty" Mack of Butler; two sisters, Freda (Lee) Roenigk of Sarver and Judy Herring of McKees Rocks; and two grandchildren, Jason and Chelsey.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Anna (Bickish) Mack, who died Nov. 6, 1992; a sister, Veronica "Sis" Mack; and a brother, Richard Mack.
<B>MACK</B> Friends of Thomas C. Mack Sr., who died Thursday, April 16, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Harrison Jr. officiating.
