Safe steal
Highland's leftfielder Mike Reid is credited with a steal here in the top of the third inning when neither official made a call on his theft of third base, Butler's Paul McCafferty, a sophomore, making the tag. Seconds later Reid and Mike Feereenko scored on Highland's only base hit by pitcher Doug Bubash for a 2-0 lead and eventually a 2-1 nod.
