Rev. James E. Jacobs
The Rev. James E. Jacobs of Kokomo, Ind., went home to be with the Lord Tuesday.
He lived a very full 59 years and is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and his son, Joshua and his wife, Sarah.
After beginning his professional life as a civil engineer, he heard God's calling to minister at his first church, the Summit United Presbyterian Church in Jefferson Township, and he served God faithfully for more than 35 years. He has served as a senior pastor, associate pastor and community pastor. His most recent ministries included a men's ministry in Kokomo, the Huddle and Kiaros Men's Prison Ministry.
He walked among us quietly showing love and concern to everyone he met. Jim was a man who, above all else, desired that God be glorified. He was kind, loving and charitable. His memory will fondly remain in the hearts of all those who love him.
Remembering Jim is easy; missing him is not. We will always love you, Jim.
