Carmella S. Douglass
Carmella S. Douglass, 81, of 294 S. Kendall Ave., Bradford, passed away Thursday at ACMH Hospital in Kittanning.
Born April 4, 1928, in Mount Jewett, she was a daughter of the late Julio E. and Ermelinda (Antenore) Salvucci.
On April 24, 1947, in Mount Jewett, she married Homer G. Douglass, who died in August 1981.
Mrs. Douglass was a 1946 graduate of Mount Jewett High School. She had been employed by the National Fuel Gas Corp. for 25 years, retiring as a customer service representative. After her retirement, she worked at Sal's Plaza Restaurant and then at The Kitchen with her family.
She was a member of the Koffee Kup Bowling League and the United States Bowling Congress. She also was a member of St. Bernard Church and loved working in her gardens.
Surviving are three sons, Richard (Julie) Douglass and Thomas (Dottie) Douglass, all of Bradford, and Peter (Debbie) Douglass of East Brady; one brother, John Salvucci of Newfane, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Leana Gerange and Anita Gorney; and four brothers, Alfred, Milio, Gene and George Salvucci.

Douglass, who died Thursday, April 16, 2009, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the <B>Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes,</B> East Main Street, Bradford, where a prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m. in the St. Bernard Church with the Rev. Leo J. Gallina, pastor, as celebrant.
