Norman H. Struss Sr.
Norman H. Struss Sr., 81, of Zelienople died Tuesday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Born Sept. 11, 1927, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Wilbert and Pearl Bittner Struss.
Mr. Struss was a member of the CrossWay Church in Valencia.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and retired from Munsches Lunches, a lunch catering service.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne Struss, who he married Sept. 27, 1950; three children, Norman H. (Amy) Struss Jr. of Callery, Barbara M. (Jerry) Lavelle of Cheswick and Jeffrey A. (Maureen) Struss of Annapolis, Md.; a sister, Wilma Fingal of Pittsburgh; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
<B>STRUSS </B> Friends of Norman H. Struss Sr., who died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the CrossWay Church, 109 Davis Road, Valencia, with Mrs. Louan Schubert, officiating.
