Mary Jane Burkert

Mary Jane Keefer Burkert, 93, of Worthington, formerly of Evans City, passed away Tuesday evening in the Sugar Creek Rest.

Born in Jackson Township, April 3, 1916, she was the last of 10 children of the late James B. and Lena A. Rice Keefer.

Mrs. Burkert was a member of the Mars Alliance Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Burkert, who died Dec. 4, 1964; a son; four brothers, and five sisters.

Surviving are three daughters, Patricia (William) Judd of Medway, Ohio, Amy (Bert) Davis of Union, Ohio, and Iva (William) Ehrhart of Bridgeport, W.Va.; four sons, J. Robert (Lillian) Burkert of Butler Christian "Butch" (Lucille) Burkert of Mars, Terry "Joe" (Bambi) Burkert of Bonaire, Ga., and James (Cassie) Burkert of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.'

<B>BURKERT </B> Friends and relatives of Mary Jane Keefer Burkert, who died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home</B>, 328 W. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Cope, her pastor, officiating.
