Marlene F. Marnic Fair, 75, of Butler, formerly of Parker, passed away Friday afternoon at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia Health Care Center in Cabot, following an extended illness.

Born in Connellsville on July 13, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Stephen P. and Virginia Curtis Marnic.

Marlene was a graduate of the former Parker High School and had been employed at the former J & M Market at the bridge in Parker.

She was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan and was skilled in the arts of crocheting and knitting.

Surviving are her husband, C. Wayne Fair, Sr., whom she married January 19, 1952; one daughter and husband, Sherre (Donald Gregory) McNany of Butler; two sons and wives, C. Wayne (Lisa) Fair Jr. and Eric (Debbie) Fair, all of Parker; eight grandchildren, Erika Dawn McNany, Shala Rene (Caleb) Lindey, Brooke and Levi Fair, Eric Fair II, Brian and Julie Fair, and Kelly (Walker) Watts III; one great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild; one sister, Judith (Judy) Marnic Gallagher of Parker; one brother, Richard Marnic of Hamden, Conn.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

<B>FAIR </B> At the request of the family, viewing and funeral services for Marlene F. Marnic Fair, who died Friday, April 10, 2009, will be private (family only).Following a private funeral service conducted by the Rev. Earl Fair, brother-in-law and retired Presbyterian minister, burial will be held at North Washington Union Cemetery, North Washington. Arrangements are being handled by <B>H.
