The Butler Road Race, Inc. announced the winners of its academic scholarships for the graduating class of 2009.

Proceeds from last year's race generated $18,350 to be distributed among 39 student athletes. Every student who applied this year will receive a scholarship, bringing the list of recipients to 512 over a 16-year period.

The BRR has presented $268,000 in scholarship money during that time. The 34th annual Butler Road Race will be June 27. Call 724-284-4676 for details.

Sarah Robb of Knoch and Jason Clouse of Butler are receiving $850 scholarships this year. Winners of $450 scholarships follow:
