I prayed for the best

But the best has past us by

As you were put to rest

We all began to cry.

But as time moves along

You will always be remembered

As someone who was always strong

And who never wanted to surrender.

You will always be in our hearts

But we know you are in a better place

We might want to fall apart

But when we look at the pictures and see your face

It always makes us smile.

So as we move on with our lives

We will always think of you

But the thing we never realized

Is all the pain you were put through.

You are dearly missed

By all your family and friends

Why did it have to end like this
