Bernice E. Bish
Bernice E. Bish, 93, of Zelienople died Monday at Passavant Retirement Community.
Born Nov. 19, 1915, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late C.O. and Adda (Van Dyke) Bish. Miss Bish was a longtime member of the Ardmore, Pa. United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the women's group and assisted with many church functions. She was a graduate of Butler High School and attended Robert Morris Business School. Miss Bish was employed by the Pittsburgh and Wycoff Steel Companies for many years in the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia offices. After her retirement, she relocated to the Zelienople area and rejoined her home church, the United Methodist Church of Connoquenessing. Bernice also enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by her brother, Maurice L. "Pete" Bish of Butler; and two sisters, Helen Gertrude Ruskin of Mars and Martha Leise of Hadley, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Blair and R. Jennings Bish; and two sisters, Mary Annabelle Murray and Marjorie Davidson.
