Mildred M. Graham

Mildred M. "Millie" Graham, 93, of Chicora died at 2:20 a.m. Sunday in the Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Chicora, Dec. 14, 1915, the daughter of the late John F. Waltman and the late Elnora M. Geibel Waltman.

Mrs. Graham was a graduate of Chicora High School and The Butler Business College.

In the 1940s, she was employed by the Employment Compensation Office in Butler and the Rationing Board in Butler during World War II.

She was a lifelong resident of Chicora, where she was tax collector for the borough for many years until her retirement.

She was a member of Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church, Chicora, and the Altar Rosary Society of the church.

Surviving are a son, John F. Graham of Chicora; a daughter, Kathleen G. Huselton and her husband, Randy, of Chicora; two grandsons, Graham D. and Brayden A. Huselton; a sister, Ethel Marie Boal of Fenelton; and a brother, Clyde Waltman and his wife, Mary Lou, of Chicora.

She married John Ralph "Herb" Graham, Oct. 1, 1949; and he died Sept. 5, 1994. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn L. "Babe" Black; two infant sisters; and an infant brother.

<B>GRAHAM </B> Friends of Mildred M. "Millie" Graham, who died Sunday, April 5, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main streets in Chicora. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from the Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church, 409 N. Main St., Chicora, with the Rev. David DeWitt, pastor, officiating. Everyone is to meet at the church.
