Zang

Earl F. "Brownie" Zang Jr., 76, of Butler passed away at 4:40 p.m. Saturday at his residence.

He was born Dec. 12, 1932, in Butler, the son of the late Earl F. Zang Sr. and Dorothy (McIntire) Zang of Butler.

He was a veteran of the Korean conflict. Brownie belonged to the American Legion Post 117 and was a member of the Lucky 6 Traveling Pool League on the Rock Ann Haven team.

He was an avid fisherman, hunter and poker player.

Earl was a retired self-employed general contractor.

Surviving are his loving companion of 11 years, Marge Bankert of Butler; his mother, Dorothy Irene Zang of Butler; two sons, Jeffory and his wife, Triquet Zang of Las Vegas and Thomas and his wife Anna Mae Zang of Penn Township; his daughter, Beth-Ann and her husband, Bryon Deless, of Meridian; the companion of his late son, Frederick, Suzanne Agnello of Butler; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Dolores) Fallecker of Driftwood, Mrs. Robert (Judith) Hornig of Homosassa, Fla., and Linda Benson of Butler; five brothers, Paul Zang and his fiance, Barbara Pickerd, of Butler, Floyd and his wife, Marsha Zang of Chicora, Robert and his wife, Hiroka Zang of Butler, John and his wife, Sharon, Zang of Butler, and Alvin and his wife, Susan, Zang of Herman.

He was preceded in death by his son, Frederick John Zang, who died July 13, 2001; his brother, David Zang; his father, Earl F. Zang Sr.; and an infant grandson.

"Brownie" Zang Jr., who died Saturday, April 4, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and from 7 until the time of the service at 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Young Funeral Home Ltd.</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
