For those of us who are living in what is considered contaminated property over here on the south side of Butler, we are really scared for our children's safety and health. We were not told of the possible pollutant being here, nor were we informed of the meeting at Center Township building by the housing authority. Mostly the

residents who live here were informed by neighbors who passed the word around in a panic. We want answers and are really frustrated that we have basically been told to keep our children out of the dirt and to close our windows on windy days.

The dirt is everywhere, it cannot be avoided! The earth has been disturbed through the process of construction. The highest exposure level we've been told that is safe is 12 parts per million, yet the ground behind our homes tested 64 parts per million. About a 100 yards across the road tested nearly 1800 parts per million.

This is not a simple fix, it's a highly toxic area and a lot of us feel it should be evacuated. We moved our families here to provide them newer & nicer homes. We enjoy living here but not at the risk of our children's health & our own. We really want better answers and the opportunity to make decisions about how the situation is best handled. We need qualified experts here and to delay that will only continue to expose our families to this high level of toxin. Would you want your children to live here, grandchildren or other family members? I certainly am scared for my family. Is anyone else concerned about this process being expedited so that we can have our fears addressed?
