First of all, I did not comment as to look for a fight. I do not believe taxpayers should have to be taxed and have it go to one rehab after another for the same person. Put these people that can't kick a habit in a halfway house and get a part time job. Former addicts??? When one person goes into a rehab more than once or even twice, they are hardly former addicts! Society has had enough. I truly commend anyone that stops a serious habit. But I have no respect for ongoing alcohol/drug abuse. Then we need to look at the possibility of a mental disorder if adults cannot stay away from drugs, that is a different issue. If someone collects welfare after being out of rehab once, I applaud that person. When that same person gets out of rehab a second time I say "Don"t give up" society will help you" When that same person gets out of rehab a third time and again collects welfare, then I say "Pal you need to go to work and keep your hands busy and your mind busier because now we are all broke" Do you get it now??? I never said anything at all about "Former Addicts", you need to understand what you read, Madam. My statement did not refer to people that went through a drug/alcohol problem and went into rehab and then found their way, it is about "Using the system and self indulgence".
