You might be interested to know that after a person completes a drug re-hab program he/she can collect 9 months to a year of public assistance. That is the problem I am concerned with. Helping children is not a problem for me when it comes to welfare, it is the other types that are collecting it. I actually heard of drug addicts making a career out of welfare. There are people in our country that have been in and out of rehab at least 10 times. Why is this allowed? There are many aspects of where tax money goes and who spends it. Also, when it comes to HUD subsidized housing, who is the real crook? These landlords are getting government money for alot of roach infested dumps that women are raisng children in. I do not believe that tax payers really have a problem with women with children, within reason of course. I believe it is the other extremes with rehabs and collecting welfare. To say that welfare recipients are drinking and drugging on welfare money is too vague, I like to get down to the nitty gritty. To allow a person out of rehab to collect welfare money is like paying them for getting out of rehab. Would you agree?
