Stanley

Gertrude E. Stanley, 96, formerly of Chicora Road in Butler, died at 10:28 p.m. Thursday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Feb. 2, 1913, in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of Thomas E. Brophy and Daisy Stoner Brophy.

Mrs. Stanley was a homemaker, and she was a Catholic.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty and her husband, Thomas Pizor, of Butler, and Shirley and her husband, Kenneth Frenchak, of Butler; one son, Robert E. and his wife, Dorothy Stanley, of Butler; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; and a number of nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester C. Stanley, who passed away Aug. 25, 1981; one grandson; three sisters; and four brothers.

North St. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, followed by interment at Butler County Memorial Park.
