Mildred A. Malewski

Mildred A. Vrane Malewski, 89, of Mars, formerly of Pittsburgh's North Side, died Monday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Jan. 17, 1920, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Dora Vrane.

She was a seamstress for American Textile in Lawrenceville, had been a member of St. Nicholas Croatian Church on the North Side and belonged to the Croatian Fraternal Union.

Surviving are a daughter, Judith Greb and her husband, William, of Penn Township; and a son, David M. Malewski Sr. and his wife, Catherine, of Valencia. She was the grandmother of William and Bradley Greb, Beth Ann Tupper and David Jr., Cameron and Jessica Malewski; great-grandmother of Logan, Morgan and Caden Tupper and Laura, Emily and Lindsey Greb; and sister of Barbara Malewski of Shaler Township

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Malewski, who passed away Dec. 25, 1960; a grandson, Christopher Malewski; her brothers, Joseph and John Brinjak; and a sister, Katherine Filip.

<B>MALEWSKI</B> — Friends of Mildred A. Vrane Malewski, who died Monday, March 9, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME INC.</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars. The Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, will officiate.
