NICK DeCROO (Freeport), a junior on the Hobart (N.Y.) College hockey team, earned ECAC West All-Academic honors. DeCroo is an economics major and is one of 17 players on the team to receive this honor. Hobart was 21-7-2, best record in the program's history.•

LAUREL PENNELL (Seneca Valley), a member of the Grove City College softball team, had two hits in a 2-1 loss to Westminster College and three more in an 8-5 defeat in the nightcap Thursday. Pennell was charged with the loss in both games, allowing two runs and four hits in Game 1.
