Henrik Ibsen's jolting drama "Hedda Gabler," which premiered in 1891 and was a Broadway success in 1902, will complete the Slippery Rock University theatre department's season when it is presented Wednesday through April 19.

The audience will determine if the lead character is a despicable villain, a courageous heroine -- or both. The work is being directed by David Skeele, professor of theater.

Curtain is at 8 p.m. Wednesday through April 18 and at 2 p.m. April 19. Tickets are $5 for students with SRU ID, or $10 for general admission. Call 724-738-2645.
