Margaret Mary Sasse, 88, a resident of the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died Thursday at Sunnyview.

She was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Allegheny County, a daughter of the late Martin S. and Elizabeth Shields Sasse.

Margaret Mary was a graduate of the Penn Township High School and also attended Muskingham College.

She was retired from Mellon Bank, where she worked for more than 30 years. She retired in 1986 as an assistant trust officer.

She was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Surviving is her niece, Sylvia Denys, of Pittsburgh.

Three sisters, Eleanore Thomas, Ruth Sasse and Louise Denys preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret Mary Sasse, who died Thursday, March 5, 2009, will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery.The St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will meet at 12:40 p.m. Monday at the church to recite the Rosary.Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
