ZACH GROSS (Butler), a freshman on the Grove City College men's track and field team, won the javelin with a throw of 163 feet, 9 inches at the 15-team Marietta (Ohio) College Invitational Saturday.•

MONICA GLOMB (Mars), a sophomore on the Kutztown University women's softball team, pitched all five innings in an 8-1 win over Millersville, allowing three hits and an unearned run. Glomb has seven wins this season and Kutztown improved to 33-6, 8-0 in the PSAC East.
