Peffer

Thelma M. Peffer, 88, of Harmony died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 23, 1920, in Mahaffey, Clearfield County, she was the daughter of the late Warren E. and Manila (Beatty) Rupert.

Mrs. Peffer was a member of the Wurtemburg United Methodist Church, Ellwood City.

She enjoyed quilting and gardening, loved puzzles and playing cards and was an avid Penguins and Steelers fan.

She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her family. Thelma also enjoyed her travels to Ireland and Alaska.

She is survived by eight sons, Warren E. Peffer and his wife, Nancy, of Ellwood City, Glenn Peffer and his wife, Maureen, of New Freedom, Bob Peffer and his wife, Judy, of Transfer, Larry Peffer and his wife, Cheryl, of Epsyville, Dale Peffer and his wife, Donna, of Slippery Rock, Tom Peffer and his wife, Cherrie, of Portersville and, Neil Peffer and his wife, Cindy, and Chuck Peffer, both of Harmony; two daughters, Velma Hollerman and her husband, Philip, of Harmony and Diane Young and her husband, Dale, of New Brighton; 28 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion H. Peffer, who died June 5, 2001; two daughters, Laura Ridenour and Bonnie Nicodemus; two brothers; a sister; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
