LAUREN PENNELL (Seneca Valley) tossed a pair of shutouts in Grove City College's 3-0, 9-0 doubleheader sweep against Waynesburg Saturday. Pennell tossed a two-hitter in Game 1 with five strikeouts and one walk. In the five-inning Game 2, Pennell allowed four hits with three strikeouts and no walks. This week, Pennell was 5-0 with four shutouts and a 0.70 ERA, allowing just 23 baserunners in 30 innings.•

AARON ORDY (Butler), a sophomore second baseman at California (Pa.) University, had a single, double and two RBI in the Vulcans' 8-1 victory over Gannon Saturday. In the nightcap, Ordy scored on an RBI single to key a 4-2 victory.•

AMBER DILLAMAN (Moniteau), a member of the Westminster women's track and field team, finished fifth in the javelin with a throw of 30.84 meters at the Jack Hazen Open hosted by Malone University Saturday.•

KATE DeGEORGE (Butler) was a member of the Thiel women's track and field team's winning 400 relay and 800 relay teams and also a second-place showing in the distance medley relay at the recent Battleground Relays in Fredricksburg, Va.•

STEPHANIE YEO (Mars), a member of the Thiel College women's track and field team, placed second in the distance medley and third in the 1,600 relay at the recent Battleground Relays in Fredricksburg, Va.•

DEREK WORKMAN (Mars) helped the Thiel men's track and field team place second in the 1,600 relay (3:30.0) and third in the distance medley with a school-record breaking time of 11:19.76.•

DEREK PELUSO (Seneca Valley) had a pair of hits, including a key run-scoring single as Point Park University snapped a 13-game losing streak in a 10-7 victory over Shawnee State in the second game of a doubleheader Sunday.•

ZOE HUGHES (Knoch) went 3-for-3, including a double, as the Point Park University softball team won the first game of a doubleheader 3-1 Sunday against Ursuline. A 5-1 win in the nightcap improved the Pioneers to 15-5, 4-2 in the AMC.
