Gerald Lynn Raisley, 72, of Renfrew passed away after an illness Monday evening at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born Oct. 27, 1936, in Butler, and was the son of Clair and Bessie Clinger Raisley.

He had worked at Pullman Standard for 17 years until its closing. He then worked for Ralph McKnight as a bulk mail carrier until his retirement.

He was a member of St. John's Reformed Church of Meridian.

He is survived by one son, Gerald Lynn Raisley Jr. of Butler; one brother, Clyde Raisley of Greely, Colo.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Fair Raisley, who passed away March 19, 2004, and by five brothers and one sister.

<B>RAISLEY</B> — Friends of Gerald Lynn Raisley, who died Monday, March 2, 2009, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home</B>, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Robert Peterson, his church pastor, officiating.
