Jacqlyn Burbidge
Jacqlyn "Jackie" Burbidge, 88, of Mars died Sunday afternoon at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township. She formerly had lived at the Penn-Mar Plaza in Mars for several years.
Born in Pittsburgh on April 25, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary E. Woodfill Jones.
A homemaker, Mrs. Burbidge was an avid Steelers fan and also enjoyed playing bingo.
Surviving are a daughter, Michelle Miller and her husband, Michael, of Butler; two sons, James Burbidge and his wife, Donna, and Thomas Burbidge, and his wife, Karen, both from Conneaut Lake; a sister, Joanne "Joey" Wingrove of Mount Pleasant; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Burbidge, whom she married May 9, 1941, and who died Aug. 7, 1988.
<B>BURBIDGE</B> — Friends of Jacqlyn "Jackie" Burbidge, who died Sunday, March 1, 2009, will be received from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Funeral services will follow at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Jim Heckman, pastor of the Christian Community Church, will officiate.
