My mind is so confused

Why God would decide to take you now.

No more do I hear your laughter

Or see your beautiful smile

And twinkling brown eyes

I pray that God will bring me peace

If ever for just awhile.

You were taken from me suddenly

No goodbyes were to be told

It wasn't supposed to be this way Jim.

You were supposed to be here to grow old

But God knew something I did not.

It was already his great plan

He sent his angels down for you

And took you as a young man.

So as this special day nears

And I look up to that heavenly sky

I know you are spending your birthday

In God's amazing grace.
