I would like to know how the DNA of a victim can be used to prosecute someone for murder. When it is used it must be a determinant for evidence of significant magnitude. I hear about how victims’ DNA is found nearly every day which help incriminate a person for murder. So where does this DNA come from, where does it originate, is it the same process for every case? That last part of the question is my concern. Science can tell us that an individual’s DNA is unique and when this occurs. But, if DNA testing is used in a murder case then its process must be equally applied throughout that justice system. So can anyone tell me if DNA testing is unequivocally used for determining murder?
