Twenty eight years ago I held my precious son in my arms

Boasting of love, joy and dreams of the future

Unknown to us the struggles that we would face

I am so proud of the person you were; always so brave

So full of adventure, love and living life by the minute

I am sad that our life together was cut so short

Our love and closeness was greater by far than the years

My comfort is knowing you have no illness or pain in Heaven
