STATE COLLEGE — Penn State coach Ed DeChellis is the Big Ten's coach of the year in voting by conference media.

DeChellis guided the Nittany Lions to a 21-10 record going into this week's conference tournament, tying a school record for most regular-season wins.

Michigan State's Tom Izzo was named top coach in voting by Big Ten coaches.

Penn State point guard Talor Battle earned all-conference honors from coaches and media. Battle finished the regular season as the league's top scorer at 17.3 points per game.

Forward Jamelle Cornley made the media's all-Big Ten second team and the coaches' third team. Guard Stanley Pringle was an honorable mention pick on both lists.
