SEEING EYE LESSON
In March 1973, third graders at the Meridian School received a firsthand lesson in eye safety when they were visited by William J. Brannon and his seeing eye dog, Geanie, and representatives of the Pennsylvania Blind Association. Margaretta E. Michalisin, left, eye health educator with the association, briefed the youngsters on the importance of eye care. She also demonstrated Braille reading. Student teacher Mimi Miller is standing near the doorway.
