The situation is worse than I thought judging by some of the responses I have seen here by you democrats. You keep talking about tax cuts for the rich. Here are some numbers from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) that you democrat class warfare junkies don't want to hear. The top 1% wage earners pay 29% of all taxes. The top 5% wage earners pay 50% of all taxes. The top 1% wage earners (about 1 million families) earn about 15% of the total income by wage earners in the US, yet they pay almost 30% of all individual income taxes. 40% of the US population pay Zero, yes Zero income taxes. Of course with those numbers any tax break given, the wealthy are going to get a bigger tax break than those who barely pay any taxes. How can you people not understand this? The next time you whine about "tax cuts for the rich", think about those numbers then keep your mouth tightly closed. I hope I'm around to see the day when all the productive wealthy people in our society get tired of being demonized by you dems and just give up and stop earning capital, close up shop and leave. I want to see you class envy pimps try to pick up the tab and cover the federal budget. We need the fairtax system. One more thing, the top 10% wage earners payed a higher percent of the federal budget under Bush than they did under Clinton, because they earned more capital. I know I'm talking to a wall here, but that doesn't change the facts. How did we get to the point in this country that creating wealth was a bad thing? Sad
